💪🏽💪🏽Strength no Weakness 💪🏽💪🏽

One of my many door designs. I did this to motivate my students.  I showed them a inspirational video by Demarjay Smith  https://youtu.be/bniI8NUwoRU

This kid is awesome. Moral of the story is you have to work hard and never give up. Don’t put yourself down, always keep yourself up. As long as you keep that mindset you will succeed🙌🏽

You can either be the Shark 🦈 of the Ocean 🌊 or the fish 🐟 in the Sea.  We are Sharks! Strength No Weakness! 💪🏽

My students created their own sharks to go around the door. The funny thing is each shark resembled the student in a weird way. Lol😄

I Genuinely Love My Students ❤️

I ❤️ What I do. Not only an Art Teacher but a Role Model!👩🏽‍🎨🎨

Owls

OWLSFullSizeRender (40)

My first graders painted owls:

Drawing Process:

  • The owls body, including wings, head and ears
  • Add skinny legs
  • Add dots for the pupils

Painting Process:

  • White- owls body, including wings, head and ears
  • Black- outline,skinny legs, pupils
  • Black- add small feather strokes…little “u’s”
  • White-Snowy background

Lastly they were given a strip of brown construction paper to make a branch and glue under the feet.

Can you say ADORABLE!…I found this on Pinterest and had to do this project with my students so I must share because the Pinterest post did not have directions just a image.  Have Fun!!

My second grade did collage owls:

Process:

  • Paint snow all over their construction paper and glue a brown branch to the bottom of their paper.
  • They were given two circle templates for the body, to trace, cut out and glue onto paper above the branch.
  • Use small pieces of torn paper to fill in the body.
  • Two cupcake liners for eyes, use yellow paper for the circles inside.
  • Use a small piece of black construction paper to make a beak, legs and feet.
  • Lastly fold paper and trace wing template, cut out and glue them on the sides of the owl.

Desert Sunsets 🌅

Sunset 4thIMG_2441

My 4th Grade girls learned how to paint silhouettes. They first used red and yellow paint to blend the background sunset. They then painted camels and palm trees with black paint.

My 1st graders made deserts in a box.  I found this idea on Pinterest and fell in love with it. Great for teaching foreground, middle ground, and background. Picture doesn’t do them justice.

Lastly my 3rd Grade boys used oil pastel for the background of their landscapes. Then ripped construction paper for foreground and middle ground layers. Lastly they drew camels on black paper and glued them onto their landscapes.

I absolutely Love how they all came together to create this dynamic display for the schools entrance.
